Cotton Sector: Meeting On Development Of Cotton Sector Held

The Union Minister for Commerce Dr. Pwint Hsan gave a remark at the coordination meeting with stakeholders in cotton industry held at the meeting room of the Ministry of Commerce via Virtual system on May 10 for the stability and development of cotton crop sector.

Speaking at the meeting, the union minister said that the ministry is making efforts to be able to fetch the fair price and decent profits by the stakeholders of cotton crop industry, the participants are urged to take part in the frank discussion for the development of cotton crop sector and the relevant ministries will provide assistance for their difficulties.  

Next, the attendees to the meeting discussed regarding the cotton crop cultivation  and production, the status of purchasing by the state-owned factories and local cotton entrepreneurs, the plan to purchase for 2022-2023 fiscal year, export and current balance of cotton crop and the union minister coordinated necessaries regarding with the clarifications.
