The Mayor of London was in New York City Monday to promote a new tourism campaign which featured a video that appeared on a jumbo screen in Times Square. The aim of the promotion is to attract global visitors back to London as England prepares to mark Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.

Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London said  "New York and London are kindred spirits. We are the two global cities, I would say the two greatest cities in the world. We've had though two awful years. Because of the pandemic lives have been lost. Livelihoods have been lost. This is our opportunity to bounce back."

Khan was joined by the royal Coldstream Guards along with cast members from the musical 'Six' - a modern story about the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII presented as a pop concert. "Six" was originally produced in London's West End and is now on Broadway.
