



Public Finance Management Special Refresher Course No.2 was opened in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday with an address by Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein.
At the event, the Union Minister said that the course aims for capacity enhancement of the staffs in the government departments and organizations in practicing public financial management system of the state.
In implementing public benefit projects, it is necessary to strengthen the linkage between planning and budget, to implement fully as the project target, to prevent losses and wastages of public finance due to poor management, to present the project and budget implementation reports systematically and to continuously monitor the functions on the systematic audit activities.
The Union Minister pointed out that only the good public management ensure the long-term financial support of the country.
A total 36 planning and financial in-charge director level officers from the central level organizations and the respective Union Ministries are attending the 4-week course.
The Public Finance Management Academy – PFM Academy was established on 18th February 2020 and 3 public finance management basic courses and 38 special short-term courses have already been conducted until now and a total of 2,061 trainees joined the courses.
