31st SEA Games: Myanmar Shooting Team will participate in the event

Myanmar shooting team is conducting training at the International Shooting Range in North Dagon Township to participate in the 31st SEA Games hosted by Vietnam from 12th to 23rd May.

In the SEA Games, Myanmar shooting team will compete in 8 types of pistols and 4 types of rifles, total 12 shooting events.

Swe Zin Nyein, Coach, Myanmar Shooting Sport Federation said "We focus on team shooting for this competition. If each player tries their best and they will gain the highest awards. Every player is training very hard and they all are ready to participate in the games."

Myanmar team expects to grab 2 gold medals for 50-m free Pistols and 10-m Air Pistols team in the SEA Games.

Kyaw Swa Win, Shooter (Pistol) said "In the shooting sport, 90% of mentality is important for shooters because player can shoot when the mind is calm. As the contestis drawing near, I conduct training harder to get ready. I got 1 bronze medal in Singapore SEA Games in 2015 and 2 bronze medals in Malaysia SEA Games in 2017."

A total of 13 shooters; 5 males and 4females, 3 male coaches and 1 female coach will participate in the 31st SEA Games. The shooting competition will be held from 16th to 22ndMay and Myanmar Shooting Team will depart for Vietnam on May 13th.
