Victory Day parade rehearsal on Moscow's Red Square

Full dress rehearsal of Victory Day parade took place in Moscow's Red Square Saturday ahead of the upcoming 9 May celebrations in the Russian capital. Victory Day is the biggest patriotic holiday on the Russian calendar, marking the Soviet Union's triumph over Nazi Germany.

The preparations for 9 May events take place amid continuing military action in Ukraine. According to the Russian Defense Ministry 11,000 servicemen, 131 units of military equipment, and 77 planes took part in the parade rehearsal, historical equipment was represented by the legendary T-34-85 tank, which opened the passage of the military vehicles.
