Under the guidance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, the National University of Arts and Culture is going to produce two short films.

It aims to inspire the young people to develop their interest in arts and to pursue their dreams. The casts for the films are chosen among the students from the university.

Department Head, Cinematography & Drama Department, NUAC, Aung Pan said "The two short films are called “ Kan Lint Kyo So Anu Pin Nyar Takatho” and “Mhone Chal Ma Mhee Thet Win Panchi”. The scripts of the short films are written by the teachers from script writing department. The casts are chosen by the Pro-Rector, department heads of Panchi and Panpu departments and the teachers from Cinematography & Drama Department."

The films will be taken at the compound of the National University of Arts and Culture, the National Museum (Yangon) and Shwedagon Pagoda.

1st Year Student, Dramatic Arts, Saw Kyaw Lwin Htoo said "The character I will portray in a short film is a boy character who is interested in Panpu (the art of sculpture) and wants to attend the National University of Arts and Culture. His mother didn’t allow him to study Panpu but he managed to get the permission of both of his parents to attend the university. Although I am not familiar with acting, teachers from Cinematography & Drama Department and my friends help me to be able to star in the short film."

By watching the short films, the young people will be encouraged to develop their interests. Everyone who is interested in arts is welcomed to attend the National University of Arts and Culture to become the profession artists by pursuing their dreams.
