War continues, but some businesses reopen in Kyiv

In a small courtyard of central Kyiv, a small burger restaurant operates for people to eat, socialise and take their mind off the conflict.  On Friday, Igor Abramenko, owner of OG Burger, said he never imagined he would have to leave.

After spending 30 years in Los Angeles, he returned to Kyiv two years ago to reconnect with his roots. He opened a small hamburger restaurant.

But, as the conflict started and friends and family urged him to leave, he closed the restaurant and returned to his sons in LA. As soon as Russian forces withdrew from the Kyiv region, he returned to Kyiv.
