






Myanmar expects to grab around 60 medals including 12 gold medals in the upcoming SEA Games.
The 31st SEA Games is scheduled to host in Vietnam from 12th to 23rd May. Myanmar plans to compete in 20 sports, including Track and Field, Archery, Lethwei, Billiards and Snookers, Football and Futsal, Sepak Takraw, Wushu, Volleyball, Judo, Taekwondo, Vovinam, Weightlifting, Shooting, Rowing, Petanque, Golf, Chess, Bodybuilding, Esports and Kurash.
Director, Sports & Physical Education Department, Htay Aung said "Myanmar hopes to grab 12 Gold Medals from Archery, Billiards and Snookers, Bodybuilding and Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Judo, Wushu, Rowing, Taekwondo. And Other will hope to get 18 Silver medals and 30 Bronze Medals. So all together 60 medals will be grab with all sports. This expected result was based on the discussion and collaboration of each sports department and officials. But the result can be changed. To compete the games, all of the athletes have been undergoing training since last year."
In the 30th SEA Games held in the Philippines, Myanmar won 4 gold, 18 silver and 51 bronze medals.
