COVID-19 Update: 14 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On May 5

The Ministry of Health reported 14 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 8,761 lab specimens within 24 hours. 8 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

As of the 5th of May, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 612,965 with 19,434 deaths and 591,902 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, the Republic of Korea, Italy and Turkey, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:37 pm CEST on 5th May, there have been over 513 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.246 million deaths.
