


Some hotels in Rakhine State are being prepared to provide services to the visitors all year round.
It is learnt that some hotels in famous Ngapali Beach have received full of booking for this month.
Director, Directorate of Hotels& Tourism, Rakhine State, Tin Htun Aung said “In Ngapali, some hotels are full of booking for local and international travelers even in the pre-monsoon season, in May. Some hotels are planning to close to prevent from the terrible weather in the third week of May. Some are making arrangements to run by opening ½ or 1/3 of hotel rooms in this year and the rooms that can be affected of the extreme weather will be closed.”
Rahine State received over 15,900 visitors during Thingyan holidays.
Travelers are also interested to observe the new places, and they also visited ManAung Island that was opened last January.
Director, Directorate of Hotels& Tourism, Rakhine State, Tin Htun Aung said “During Thingyan holidays from 9 to 17April, 15,917 of local and 260 of international visitors visited Rakhine State. Among them, 3,195 visited Mrauk-U and around 100 visitors went to MyanAung Island during April.”
In March, a total of 18,883 local and international visitors visited Rakhine State and over 2,800 visited to Mrauk-U.
