Elephant in Palin Khanthayar: Elephant lovers can feed buffet

Elephant lovers around the country can feed the elephants in Palin Khanthayar elephant camp online during COVID-19. This  elephant camp is located in West Palin Village  near the Ayeyawady River Site in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region.

There are 22 elephant camps nationwide and the elephant feeding can be done by contacting the elephant camps’ page. The elephant buffet includes sugarcanes, grass, bananas, pumpkins, watermelons, cucumbers, mangoes, coconut, corns and seasonal crops. It costs 30,000 to 50,000 kyats for per meal and can donate 100,000 kyats for 7 elephants per day.

During the Covid-19, the camp has conducted more than 400 buffet feeding times. The supervisor of Palin Khantharyar Elephant Camp said that the elephant camps set up for the development of town-based tourism are in short supply.
