Illegal Trade: Illegal items worth over 27 million Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On April 29 and 30, undeclared marble slabs, spray pipe, generators, electric motor, lawn mower spare parts and illegal timbers were seized at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Checkpoint in Yangon Region, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region and Taungoo and Pyay districts of Bago Region.

In total, illegal items worth over 27 million Kyats were seized on the 29th and 30 of April. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
