Coordination Meeting: VFVLMCC Held 5th Coordination Meeting

The 5th coordination meeting of the Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Central Committee was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 26 April with the attendance of Central Committee Chairman Union Minister U Tin Htut Oo, vice chairmen deputy minister for investment and foreign economic relations U Than Aung Kyaw, deputy minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi and the central committee members. 

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister U Tin Htut Oo said that the land management measures are being carried out in line with the guidelines of the State Administration Council to contain the farmlands not to be used in the urban extension projects, special economic zones and industrial zones and to supervise not to use the farmlands for other means.

Similarly, for the object of regional food security and enhancement of production based on agriculture and livestock through modern techniques and strengthen all-round development in other sectors of the economy, the implementations are being carried out to develop the farmlands from vacant, fallow and virgin land in line with the Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Law.

During the 5thcoordinationmeeting of the Vacant, Fallow and Virgin Land Management Central Committee, the tasks to be discussed and made decision were discussed and carried out by the attendees, it’s reported.
