Small-Scale Industries: Business registration and food laboratory test process

To develop cottage industry, Mandalay Region Small-Scale Industries Department will conduct 400 business registrations and 615 laboratory testing of food in 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.

The Department is conducting business registration and food testing process systematically to create job opportunities for the locals and to develop cottage industry.

Win Bo, Head, Small-Scale Industries Department (Mandalay Region) said "Our Department will carry out 400 business registrations and 615 food laboratory tests in 2022-2023 FY to produce safe and good quality products for the consumers. A total of 80 businesses have been already registered. There are various samples of food products including breads, cakes, cookies, drinks, jam and variety of snacks for testing. We only allow the products which passed the laboratory test to be registered for the safety of consumers. "

The official of Mandalay Region Small-Scale Industries Department said that they are testing systematically the food products and consumer products which are applied to be registered in accordance with the law.

They are also providing vocational trainings for the development of small-scale industries.
