Illegal Trade: Illegal items worth over 12 million Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On April 20, 22 and 23, undocumented bicycle tyres, illegal supplementary drugs, unregistered energy drinks and illegal 2.1 tons of teak were seized at two ports in Yangon Region, MaYanChaung Checkpoint in Mon State and Taungoo District of Bago Region.

In total, illegal items worth over 12 million Kyats were seized on the 20th, 22nd and 23rd of April. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
