Woman dies as 5.7 magnitude earthquake hits Bosnia

One person was killed and at least two others were injured in a strong earthquake that hit Bosnia late on Friday. The magnitude 5.7 earthquake sent hundreds of people fleeing from their homes.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said that it was hit 42 kilometres Southeast of Mostar. A 28-year-old woman died and her parents were injured after a rock dislodged by the tremor hit their family home in Stolac, near Mostar, The quake was at a depth of 5 kilometres, according to the EMSC. It was felt throughout the country and in neighbouring Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
