Illegal Trade: Illegal Items Worth Over 315 Million Kyats Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On April 18 and 19, over 49 tons of illegal timbers, an unregistered vehicle, illegal motorbike batteries and goods were seized in Bago, Taungoo, Pyay and Tharawaddy districts of Bago Region, Shwebo Township of Sagaing Region, Mayanchaung Checkpoint of Mon State and Muse Township of Shan State.

In total, illegal items worth over 315 million Kyats were seized. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
