MARTA transit riders react to mask changes

A federal judge's decision on Monday allows airports, airlines, and mass transit systems to make their own decisions about mask requirements.The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, or MARTA said that they will not enforce a mask mandate until further notice.Some travelers said they will continue to wear masks for their own safety, while others said they will wear masks depending on the circumstance.

Marcha Chandler, Transit Rider said "I wear a mask because I want to be as safe as possible, and so I respect other people's choice not to wear a mask, but I will wear a mask if I am in public transportation."

The statement added, "Customers and employees are free to continue wearing masks on the system but masks are not required at this time."
