COVID-19 Update: 956 New Cases with 2 Deaths Reported On March 11

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 956 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 19,373 lab specimens within 24 hours. 2 patients have died due to the disease while 1,399 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 604,219 with 19,403 deaths and 555,290 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Argentina and Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 7:50 pm CET on 11 March, there have been over 452.052 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.027 million deaths.
