Rural Development: Edible Oil Production and Road Construction

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe on Wednesday made inspection on the rural development tasks in Mandalay Region.

The Union Minister and party visited the old bran oil factory in MoeKyoKone  Village of Kyaukse District, and discussed the condition of the factory and whether it can be back on operation, and the needs for renovation.

The Union Minister and party later met with the departmental personnel in Kyaukse and discusssed the plans to make cooperative works with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation for rural development works and extended cultivation of edible oil crops and sun flowers. They later inspected the tar paving work in PayTaw Village of MyitThar Township and gravel laying in YwaKhaingGyi North Village.

The Union Minister called for cooperation of the local villagers in implementing the rural development works.
