Over 100,000 refugees from Ukraine are estimated to have arrived in the Czech Republic, mainly through Slovakia and Poland. A reception center in Prague is full and won't be able to accept any more Ukrainians over the next 24 hours, Prague City Hall said. Instead, buses will ferry the refugees to other major centers in all 14 regions of the country.

Just over half are children, and the others are mostly women and elderly people.  At the centers, refugees can register for long-term residency, arrange accommodation and work permits, and get information about accessing health care. Special classes in Ukrainian have opened for children in Prague and the Czech Republic's second-largest city, Brno. Regular Czech schools have also opened their doors to the newcomers.
