Makkah Alliance meets in Riyadh

The Strategic Political and Defense Committee of the Makkah Alliance, formed by Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, held its second meeting in Riyadh on October 5. The meeting focused on regional security developments, strengthening cooperation and the alliance’s institutionalization process.

The committee also discussed support that could be provided for Saudi Arabia’s defense, according to Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Speaking after the meeting, Fidan said the participants discussed possible military and technical measures to support Saudi Arabia, as well as ways to resolve the Yemen issue through peaceful means and dialogue.
