Fire Drill & Evacuation: Chief Minister attends search and rescue demonstration

Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr. AungKyaw Min together with the Western Command Commander, the State cabinet members and departmental officials attended demonstration of rescue works with fire engines and fire extinguishers at the Rakhine State Fire Services Department on Friday.

At the ceremony, the head of the State Fire Services Department reported on awareness on fire safety, fire drills and preparation for fire extinguishers. The Fire Brigade members demonstrated rescue works and evacuation procedures in case of fire incident at the high buildings.

The Chief Minister, the Commander and members of the State Government inspected fire engines, fire extinguishers and search and rescue equipment and viewed fire safety measures and documents on efforts for natural disaster, rescue works and public building tasks. The Chief Minister and the Commander met fire brigade members and called for practicing drills. The Chief Minister also provided cash for the members who participated in the demonstration.
