The United Nations top humanitarian official says the scale of civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure in Ukraine is "alarming."

Aerial attacks and fighting in urban areas are damaging critical civilian facilities and disrupting essential services such as health, electricity, water and sanitation.

Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs said "Today, our most pressing humanitarian needs are for emergency medical services, including sexual and reproductive health services, critical medicine, health supplies and equipment, safe water for drinking and hygiene, shelter and protection for the displaced,".

160,000 people have been internally displaced since the start of the Russian invasion.
