Vaccination Programme: COVID-19 vaccination continues in regions and states

The vaccination programme is one of the most important activities in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 disease. Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, Tatmadaw medical teams, healthcare workers and volunteers are working hard to administer COVID-19 vaccines in different states and regions. The COVID-19 vaccine is inoculat­ed daily to target groups regardless of race or religion.

On 13th and 14th February, COVID-19 vaccines were injected to people in 3 townships in Shan State (North), four townships in Mon and Kayin States, Myeik and Palaw townships in Taninthayi Region, Yankin and Tamwe townships in Yangon region, 26 townships in Ayeyawady region, 7 townships in rakhine State, seven districts in Mandalay Region and Nyaung Laybin and Htan Tabin Townships of Bago region, respectively.

Similarly, the COVID-19 vaccines were given to students and on 14th February, vaccines were injected to 150 students in 26 townships of Ayeyawady region.
