






Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla together with SAC members, Union Ministers and officials paid homage to Maha Muni Pagoda in Keng Tung in eastern Shan State on Monday and offered flowers, water and light.
They then presented cash contributed by well-wishers for all of development of the pagoda to the Chairman of Pagoda Board of Trustees and members. The Prime Minister and party then paid homage to Satu Rahta Thumingala Pagoda in Loi Mwe Station hill and offered flower, water and light and donated cash for the pagoda.
The Prime Minister also signed in the distinguished visitors' book and paid homage to the Hill Tracts Missionary Sayadaw Bhaddhanta Wai Ponla and donated offertories. They then viewed around the pagoda and called for maintenance of the pagoda for long-term durability. The Prime Minister and party then proceed to a 100-year-old historic house and viewed the history of Loimwe and the documentary photos of remarkable places displayed in the house.
There, the Prime Minister called for maintenance of the utensils in the house without losing original style and gave necessary instructions. The prime minister and party looked into salvage of Loimwe lake, maintenance and upgrading tasks as well as storage of water in the Kaung Hmu Taw Lake.
In response to the reports of officials, the Senior General stressed the needs on the maintenance of Loimwe lake for long-term as it is a gift from nature for Loimwe hill station, conservation of forests in the water shed areas, beautifying tasks and upgrading along the road climbing on the hill.
The Senior General and party then inspected the site chosen for construction of sky train to run to the Buddha park in Pan Kwe village and Loimwe hill station for providing regional development and fulfilled the needs. After that, they looked into the site for the construction of the replica of Keng Tung Haw Nan near Naung Ton lake and maintenance of the lake and called for upgrading of the lake ring road for taking physical exercise and relaxation for the people.
