COVID-19 Update: 861 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on February 1

The Ministry of Health reported 861 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 39,983 lab specimens within 24 hours. No COVID-19 positive patient has died while 143 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 536,393 with 513,416 COVID-19 patients discharged from the hospitals. Even though there is no new death of COVID-19 positive patient on 1st February, it’s found out that the percentage of confirmed cases slightly increases. The The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 73.53 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, France, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:35 p.m. Central European Time on February 1, 2022, there have been over 376.47 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.66 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
