A German zoo, which welcomed polar bear twins just over two months ago, released footage of the pair playing with a ball in the hay.   Since their birthday on November 14, 2021, the two have gained between 5.5 and 6 kilograms.

Although they are twins, the two are developing quite differently.  One polar bear baby can already take its first steps, even if it is sometimes still wobbly. The second one sleeps most of the time and is not yet agile. The birth of the twins is an important event for species conservation.

The polar bear cubs in Rostock Zoo can currently only be admired by visitors via video on the Internet.  Their first outing is planned for March.
