Inspection Of Dev. Works: Kachin State CM Inspected Weaving Training School

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan inspected construction of swimming pool with 10 swimming lanes, renovation of traditional backstrap weaving training school and status of implementing park in front of Airport in the afternoon on 18th January.

First, the chief minister together with the state ministers and state level departmental officials inspected construction works of swimming pool with 10 swimming lanes which is 50 meters long and 25 meters wide implementing by the State Sports and Physical education department including building spectator stand, status of constructed roof rafters and instructed to construct to meet the quality and standards.

Next, the chief minister and party visited Kachin national traditional backstrap weaving training school, viewed the trainees’ backstrap weaving of traditional dresses’ design and inspected around the training school. The chief minister urged to revive the traditional backstrap weaving and conserving, coordinated with the relevant department for the renovation of training school and provided cash assistance for the school.

Then, the chief minister also inspected the stone laid drainage system implemented by the Township development committee not to waterlog in the Myitkyina University Compound during the rainy season.

Aferward, the chief minister inspected the works including growing of beautifying flower plants, landscaping, erecting ornamental lampposts, laying walking path and the changing place of airport entrance security gate and instructed necessaries to beautify in the airport lawn park.
