Attack against vehicles: Terrorists attack on vehicles left drivers dead

The motor vehicles carried liquefied petroleum gas (LP Gas) using as a substitution of firewood from Myawady Township, Kayin State were fired with guns and set on fire without reasons by the so-called PDF terrorists in the afternoon on 16th January, according to reports.

The incidence occurred when the vehicles carried liquefied petroleum gas (LP Gas) using as substitution of firewood including 12-whellers Fuso vehicle owned by Awra Company headed to Yay Township and 10-wheelers Fuso vehicle headed to Mawlamyaing Township, departed from Myawady at about 1 p.m.

The vehicles were attacked at about 2500 meters to the west of Apyin KwinKaLay Village on the Asia Road of Myawady-Kawkareik by the so-called PDF terrorists. The attack left drivers U Min Min Lwin with burned injuries and U Khin Maung Than with gunshot wounds dead. One vehicle was destroyed by fire and the rest one was wrecked by gunfire.

The security forces went to the spot and carried out the security works and putting out the fire and they continue procedures to reveal and arrest the perpetrators who committed terrorist acts as quickly as possible and the regional security measures.
