Blinken welcomes Jordan FM

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken welcomed Jordan's Foreign Minister to Washington on Thursday. Blinken praised the US-Jordanian 'solid' partnership.

Antony Blinken, Secretary of State said " I always deeply value feeling the effects of our, our friendship with Jordan and the foreign minister. In particular, we are strong partners for peace, stability, security in the region and even even beyond that.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi acknowledged the strong ties between both countries and but also pointed out they face "many more challenges."

Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Foreign Minister said "We face many, many more challenges….. hope to be able to discuss the union, which has been instrumental in helping us to meet challenges and not only help meet those challenges, but also cement our deep economic reforms and we're undertaking at this time and again the euro is key in our joint effort to bring about peace, stability in the region with our relations.

The two are expected to talk about Syria, Iran and other issues in the region.
