COVID-19 Update: 127 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on December 20

The Ministry of Health reported 127 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 11,519 lab specimens within 24 hours.

6 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 366 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 528,380 with 19,226 deaths and 505,761 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 50.41 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Islamic Republic of Iran and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 3:29 p.m. Central European Time on December 20th, 2021, there have been over 273.90 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.35 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
