COVID-19 Update: 624 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on November 19

Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 624 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 22,162 patients within 24 hours. 11 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 887 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 516,770 with 19,000 deaths and 489,140 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Germany, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:50pm CET, 19 November 2021, there have been over 255 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.12 million deaths.
