COVID-19 Update: 587 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on November 18

Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 587 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 19,985 patients within 24 hours. 14 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,108 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 516,146 with 18,989 deaths and 488,253 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Germany, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:27pm CET, 18 November 2021, there have been over 254 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.12 million deaths.
