



The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held the (3/2021) meeting of the National Committee for the Prevention and Response to Sexual Violence in Conflict Wednesday morning in Nay Pyi Taw. At the meeting, Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khaing said that the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Response of Sexual Violence in Conflict should be implemented exactly one year from the date of implementation. When the works in action plan are implemented, there are tasks to be implemented by the relevant departments and the cooperation is needed in the implementation of the action plans.
Then, the Deputy Ministers Maj-Gen Aung Lin Tun and Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing gave the remarks. After that, the director-General of the Department of Social Welfare clarified the relevant Ministries / Organizations to submit quarterly report to the National Level Committee on the implementation of the National Action Plan, to inform the UN through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the implementation of the national action plan; to effectively inform the public about the procedures of complaint, the process of mechanism for complaints and the members of the National Level Committee who attended the meeting discussed the necessary suggestions. The National Action Plan for the Prevention and Response of Sexual Violence in Conflict is one year term and the implementation will be begun as of November 10, it’s reported.
