


The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo, chairman of the Central Committee gave a remark at a meeting of the Central Committee for Management of Fallow Lands and Virgin Lands on Wednesday. At the meeting, the union minister said that those who are allowed to work on vacant lands and virgin lands do not have right to transfer, sell or mortgage their right of holdings, the necessary supervising to use the lands effectively.
At the meeting, for the economic development of the country and the creation of employment opportunities for the residents and landless citizens, the matters on the complete case files attached the comments of relevant ministries applied for the right of use and holding, the appeals to the central committee under the Section 8-A (b) of the Fallow Lands and Virgin Lands Management Law, to reorganize the special groups for the recapture of fallow and virgin lands that are not actually cultivated on the land until the expiration of the four-year period on the right to use and the issues related to the formation of exclusive body to scrutinize the submission of objections to the applications for the rights of use land were discussed.
