COVID-19 Update: 999 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on November 8

The Ministry of Health reported 999 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 26,181 lab specimens within 24 hours. 18 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,189 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 507,815 with 18,837 deaths and 479,422 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 46.14 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 3:28 p.m. Central European Summer Time on November 8th, 2021, there have been over 249.74 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.04 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
