
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 1,074 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 25,002 patients within 24 hours. 14 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,575 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 502,024 with 18,728 deaths and 470,793 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:40pm CET, 2 November 2021, there have been over 246 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5 million deaths.
