COVID-19 Update: 1,382 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 12

The Ministry of Health reported 1,382 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 17,998 lab specimens within 24 hours. 26 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,623 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 481,230 with 18,188 deaths and 434,080 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 43.79 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina and Colombia according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:08 p.m. Central European Summer Time on October 12th, 2021, there have been over 237.65 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.84 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
