Political Affairs: Union Election Commission Probes into Political Parties

The Union Election Commission (UEC) looked into the political parties whether they conducted systematically for the memberships of the parties, party funds and property, savings, maintaining, usage, audition and liquidation and parties’ procedures according to the Union Election Law.

The UEC inspected Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) at the Union Territory election sub-commission office in Ottarathiri Township and Union Betterment Party (UBP) at Ottara District election sub-commission office. The inspection team is comprised of the officials from the UEC, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Finance and Union Auditor-General Office.
