COVID-19 Fight: Imports of Medical Supplies Continue

For the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities, Ministry of Commerce is making efforts to ensure people have access to the essential medical supplies including liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders and arranging continuous importation on public holidays as well.

On the 30th of August, anti-COVID-19 equipment, medical products including oxygen plants and concentrators were imported by 18 companies.

A total of 63 tonnes of liquid oxygen, 4,900 empty oxygen cylinders, six oxygen plants, one oxygen generator, 388 home oxygen concentrators, 3,000 sets of Covid-19 test kits, 2,500 sets of PPE suits, and 13 tonnes of masks were imported via Muse, Chinshwehaw, Myawaddy and Tachileik trading posts and Yangon International Airport.
