Under the approval of the Ministry of Health and guidance of the Yangon Region Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Control and Emergency Response Committee, Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce (MCCOC) initiated COVID-19 Vaccination Program without taking any benefits together with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
On 23rd of August, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Hla Soe, Commander of Yangon Command Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, Security and Border Affairs Minister Colonel Win Tint, Minister for Commerce U Aung Than Oo, Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Zaw Win, Social Affairs Minister U Aung Win Thein, Ethnic Affairs Minister U Saw Jet Kaw Htoo, Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee U Bo Htay, Head of Yangon Region Health Department Dr. Htun Min and officials, Chairman of Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce U Aeik Htun and officials, and Chairman of Shwe Than Lwin Company Limited U Kyaw Win inspected implementation works for vaccination process in line with SOP of the Ministry of Health.
Aiming to support COVID-19 National level prevention, control and treatment measures by available corner, WHO approved Inactivated COVID-19 (Vero Cell) Sinopharm Vaccines produced by China National Pharmaceutical Group were directly purchased through MOH instructions and the approvals from relevant government organizations, FDA, transportation and cold chains.
The vaccination program is for organizations, companies and individuals, all those who registered to inoculate on their own at MCCOC. Shwe Than Lwin Company Limited (Sky Net) helped the giant site for this COVID-19 Vaccination Centre and will also facilitate emergency treatment rooms, and also the rest rooms for the vaccinated people plus full of securities.
The Vaccination at the Center is going to conduct with the help of well-experienced doctors and nurses from the Ministry of Health, and other medical volunteers.
