COVID-19 Update: 3,430 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on August 12

The Ministry of Health reported 3,430 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 12,801 lab specimens within 24 hours. 215 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 3,354 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 344,730 with 12,667 deaths and 260,025 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 35.95 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, Russian Federation, France, The United Kingdom, Turkey, Argentina, Colombia and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 6:11 p.m. Central European Standard Time on August 12, 2021, there have been over 204.64 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.32 million deaths, reported to WHO.
