
The Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected Myanma Alin, Kyaymon newspaper houses and Nay Pyi Taw printing house located in Zayyarthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Thursday.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, deputy minister U Ye Tint and party arrived at Boe Wazira Hall of News and Periodical Enterprise situated in Khayaypin junction and met with the staff members of the newspaper houses.
Next, the printing machine rooms and news rooms were inspected and staffs were cordially greeted.
Then, the union minister inspected the performing duties in line with the COVID-19 rules and disciplines for the completion of school text books in timely manner even though during the period of public holidays and printing machines maintenance works and instructed to keep maintaining works of printing machines to be operated in full capacity and to tend the safety from the fire hazards and cordially greeted and encouraged the staffs.
While meeting with the staffs from the newspaper houses, the union minister said that the state-owned Medias are not only the bridge between the government and the people but also need to put forth efforts to convey the true news and situations to the international community.
At the moment, informing true information on implementations of five future programs and nine objectives laid down by the State Administration Council by the forming provisional government is to be carried out correctly and speedily.
The prime minister himself pays a special intention on the role of media including printed media. It’s needed to put exerted effort for the development of media sector with the support of advanced technologies and fulfill the right of people to access the information.
It’s also needed to maintain the momentum of cooperation by the offices of township information and public relations department with the state-owned media in the educating processes of COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures.
Next, the union minister and party visited Nay Pyi Taw Printing House of Printing and Publishing Department and met with the staff. While meeting with the staffs from Printing House of Printing and Publishing Department, the union minister said that the printing and publishing department should publish the useful books for public, especially; good books for the young people prioritized the role of the youth.
The sense of obligation of a citizen should be disseminated through the literature. The efforts should be put to publish good books conformed to the time and the COVID-19 rules and restrictions are needed to be complied in the working place. Then, the union minister cordially greeted staffs.
