Monsoon Trees Planting: Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture Plants 1,800 Teak Trees

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture held its Monsoon Trees Planting Ceremony on Monday in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the land plot in front of the Building No.35 at the Ministry, Union Minister U Ko Ko, deputy ministers, permanent secretary, directors general, deputy directors general and staff planted 1,800 teak trees.

In addition to the trees planted in designated places at the ministries, over 10,000 trees will be planted along the Yangon-Mandalay Highway and over 100,000 trees along other roads throughout Myanmar under the 2021 monsoon tree plating programme of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.
