Border Development: Union Minister Makes Inspections In Shan State

The Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung inspected border region and human resources development works in Shan State.

The Union Minister inspected completion of Naungsant-Naungbo rural road construction in Namsan Township, the site where a 35-foot-long bridge will be construced in the fiscal year of 2021-2022 and completion of a road construction between Naryine-Konema Road and Maukmal-Hsi Hseng Intersection.

The Union Minister also visited the Kunhing Township Development Supervision Office and domestic vocational school for women. He held talks with staff and trainees and provided uniforms for them. He also inspected the school and construction works in the school compound.

The Union Minister then continued his inspection trip to the Development School for Ethnic Youths in Lwalmway  Township, heard report and provided uniforms, books and teaching aid for the students before inspecting the School. The Union Minister followed up with inspections the Shan State Development Supervision Office and domestic vocational school for women, and then held talks on development works and the vocational school.

Finally, he inspected construction of Kathtike-Lwalpantaung-Ingolon Road in Kengtung Township and the road between Panmat Village and Kengtung-Taunggyi Road. During the inspections, the Union Minister stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance.
