Transport Sector: Union Minister Makes Inspection In Ayeyawaddy And Magway

The Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay met Ayeyawaddy Region Administration Council Chairman U Ye Myint, council members and departmental officials to discuss the infrastructure development in the region.

Also, the Union Minister inspected the upgrading work of nine-storey Pathein General Hospital, Pathien-Kankalay Road section, Kankalay-Yaykyi-Batye Road maintenance, the 150 feet long Ywarthitgyi-Pauktuu Bridge in Ahlone Village-tract of Kyangin Township and the upgrading work of the mile post 100/1 on the Pathein-Monywa Road.

The Union Minister also inspected the 1,300 feet long Mindon Bridge (Yaynatha), 270 feet long Gway Cho Bridge on Thayet-Minhla Road and 180 feet long Htan Kine Bridge construction site.

The Union Minister also met Magway Region Administration Council Chairman U Tint Lwin, council members and departmental officials.

During the meeting, he discussed the development of transportation networks, prioritized sectors and regional development programmes. Finally, he inspected the strength of Ayeyawaddy Bridge (Magway), Nay Pyi Taw-Taungnyo-Myothit-Kanpyar-Magway Road and bridge maintenance works.
