Inspection Tour: Union Minister Inspected All-Round Development Project

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo inspected the implementations of all-round development project relied on the ecosystem within the Chaung-Ma-Nge Dam precinct and forest reserve area.

During the inspection tour, the Union Minister joined the ministry’s 2021 monsoon season tree planting ceremony held at the vacant lands around Chaung-Ma-Nge Dam on July 4. During the ceremony, a total of 1,000 perennial trees including Tamalan, Mahogani, Badauk, and Teakwood were planted.

At the briefing hall, the responsible officials from respective departments clarified the work implementations of all-round development projects relied on the ecosystem. The union minister instructed to preserve the natural ecosystem, to carry out income generating agriculture and livestock breeding in model villages and requirements for commercial scale productions.

Next, the director of forest department handed over certificate of permission to establish community-owned forest and the representatives of the villages accepted.

At the implementations of all-round development project relied on the ecosystem within the Chaung-Ma-Nge Dam precinct and forest reserve area, as a pilot project, the forest department provides seedlings, gives educating training to establish the mixed plantation of crops and forest trees.

Afterward, the union minister also inspected the upgrading works of Hsin-Ohn Lake constructed in 1951. The upgrading works have completed at 89% and will have more water holding capacity and supply more irrigation water.
