Press Council: Myanmar Press Council Issued An Announcement

Myanmar Press Council issued an announcement 6/2021 on July 1st, 2021.

The press council said Myanmar Press Council is constantly striving for the development of the media and the social security of ethical journalists. Myanmar Press Council gladly welcomes the inclusion of journalists in the more than 2,000 prisoners released on 30 June 2021.

As the released journalists, it is necessary to improve the quality to continue to stand as the ethical media resources needed for the development of the fourth pillar. Therefore, journalists are urged to uphold media ethics and standards and refrain from engaging in unethical activities.

It is announced that Myanmar Press Council will hold media quality training courses for the ethical gathering of information, reporting and news writing in order to prevent any undue consequences.
