
Over 1,000 qualified workers were presented the national-level skills recognition certificates on Wednesday. The National Skills Standard Authority (NSSA) presented the certificates at a ceremony, held at the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population in Nay Pyi Taw.
The Chairman of Central Committee for Employment and Skills Development Union Minister U Myint Kyaing mentioned that the NSSA has been giving the national-level skills recognition certificates since 2014 and there have been over 16,000 workers qualified for 30 occupations since then.
He added that more than 14,000 accomplished workers have been awarded the national-level certificates.
He stressed to the skilled workers to treasure their certificates and urged them to constantly develop skills which are changing and improving according to the age. Also, he encouraged everyone to cooperate for the sake of workers’ skills development, job opportunities and human resource development.
Afterwards, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister and officials concerned presented the certificates to each representative on behalf of the inspector, assessor, assessment centre and skilled workers.
Next, Associate General Secretary of Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Association U Aye Linn spoke words of thanks on behalf of the employers.
During the ceremony, 1,014 skilled workers passed Skillfulness level (1) related to 17 occupations and 59 skilled workers passed Skillfulness level (2) related to 3 occupations during the ‘19-2020 financial year. 3 assessment centers, 5 inspectors and 35 assessors were also awarded certificates.
